Temporary Role 12 months (FT40)

Prof. N. Ghaffour’s Sustainable Green Desalination Lab (WDRC, KAUST) is seeking for motivated Research Assistant to conduct laboratory experiments on volatility of organic compounds and other contaminants during seawater desalination. The job includes assisting in designing and building experimental setups, analyzing water samples, operating analytical instruments, and other activities within the scope of the project. Hands-on experience in chromatography systems and method development is an advantage.

Responsibilities:
- Assembling and running experimental setups.
- Collecting water samples and performing various chemical analysis.

- Operating analytical instruments.
- Analyzing data and preparing reports.
- Performing other tasks and activities according to employee’s expertise.

Education

Bachelors - or Higher Degree in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry is preferred, chemical/environmental engineering, material science or related field.

Work Experience

Previous employment in chemical, analytical or water treatment setting is an advantage.

This is an internal position open for people who live at KAUST.
