Title: Osmotic backwashing of FO membranes during produced water treatment.

This talk primarily focused on the evaluation and optimization of osmotic backwashing efficiency to restore flux in the produced water fouled forward osmosis (FO) membranes.

Event details: This was a two day hybrid event arranged by the Egyptian society of membrane technology and its applications. The event attracted a 150+ audience, including academics, researchers, membrane suppliers, EPC companies installing membrane-based water and wastewater treatment plants, and Governmental authorities. The attendees highly appreciated the presentation of Dr. Muhammad Saqib Nawaz and work of Prof. Ghaffour’s group.
