Title: Rainwater harvesting in urban projects via engineered soakage pits for improved water supply.

This talk primarily focused on the designing and potential of engineered storm water soakage pits to avoid urban flooding and aquifer recharge. All fundamental and design details were discussed in this presentation.

Event details: This was an invited speaker talk for the WDRC students committee under the EnSE program of KAUST. The talk was in hybrid mode with in-person attendees and online attendees via zoom. The event attracted a 40+ audience, including students and researchers. The attendees showed a keen interest in learning about this technology and its potential application in Saudi Arabia’s perspective.
