At COP16’s Sustainability Innovation Week, the Research, Development, and Innovation Authority (RDIA) recognized Professor Noreddine Ghaffour, leader of the DESAL Research Group at KAUST, for his remarkable contributions to advancing sustainable water solutions.
Professor Ghaffour’s pioneering work focuses on developing innovative, low-energy desalination technologies that address global water challenges while supporting sustainability goals. As a leader in the field, his research drives the development of scalable, energy-efficient water treatment processes, positioning KAUST as a global hub for innovation in water security.
