Biography

Dr Henry J. Tanudjaja obtained his bachelor and master's degree in Chemical Engineering from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Jogjakarta, Indonesia and then continued his doctoral degree in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore specializing in membrane fouling studies due to oil emulsion. He further pursued his research career in NTU, Singapore as a research fellow in the group of Prof. Wang Rong and Prof. Chew Jia Wei, which are the leading experts in membrane filtration technology. In 2023, Dr. Tanudjaja explored Saudi Arabia with joining King Abdullah Univ. of Science and Tech (KAUST) as postdoctoral fellow and working with Prof. NorEddine Ghaffour, expert in desalination and membrane technology. Dr. Tanudjaja has published 17 peer-reviewed journal and 1 book chapter, with a h-index of 13. He is focusing in the efficiency improvement of membrane filtration process via experiments and machine learning applications.

Research Interests

Dr. Henry J. Tanudjaja's research interest revolves around membrane filtration technology, from membrane fouling to understanding and improvement of the filtration process via machine learning applications. He studied the membrane fouling phenomenon due to various foulants, such as oil emulsion and protein, and his current research direction is exploring the application of machine learning in membrane filtration technology.
