Biography

With a PhD degree in Environmental Engineering, I have a unique experience combining industrial projects and University research. I can envision projects from laboratory scale to full-scale industrial installations. I have also demonstrated good skills as a team player and solo player in my different job roles since 2009. My vision is to provide clean and safe drinking water to everyone and improve the health of all living beings.

Research Interests

I have versatile research experience starting from sequencing batch reactors (SBR) for textile wastewater treatment to membrane bioreactor (MBR) for domestic wastewater treatment. From lab scale setups to pilot scale upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB) reactor for the designing of a combined effluent treatment plant. I worked on forward osmosis (FO) among pioneer researchers and did my PhD in hybridizing FO with MBR to form FOMBR for domestic wastewater treatment. I also introduced surfactants-based micellar solutions as the novel draw solution in FO systems. Currently, I am working on membrane distillation (MD) as a standalone and hybrid technique (FO-MD) for produced water treatment.
